When Grammy winning recording engineer Richard King wants to audition his mixes at home, and for checking CD and stereo/multichannel SACD test pressings in a listening environment other than his studio, he relies on the Focus Audio to tell him the truth of his recordings.

 

Richard King is an active AES member and frequent panelist. He is interviewed regularly in Mix magazine, and has written for both Pro Audio Review and EQ magazine.

Recorded and mixed the Oscar and Grammy winning film score Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. (Grammy's awarded to Engineer, Producer, and Composer).


Recorded and mixed the Grammy nominated Bernstein: West Side Story Suite featuring Joshua Bell, Violin, with the London Philharmonia and conductor David Zinman The Album was nominated for best Classical Crossover Album, and won for Best Engineered Classical Album 


Recorded and mixed the Grammy winning Appalachian Journey (2001), featuring Yo Yo Ma, Mark O'Connor, Edgar Meyer, James Taylor and Alison Krauss ¡V the CD won Best Classical Crossover Album (Grammys  awarded to Engineer, Producer, and Artists).  


Received Grammy nominations for Best Engineered Classical Recording during the award periods 1998  & 1999. Richard also recorded the Grammy winning album "Premieres: The Cello Concertos" featuring Yo Yo Ma and the Philadelphia Orchestra, which won both Classical Album of the Year and Best Soloist with Orchestra in 1998.

 



Recorded Fantasies & Delusions, Music for Solo Piano by Billy Joel, which was No.1 Classical Album in Billboard Magazine for 20 weeks (since Oct. 2001)
