At Focus Audio workshop, each engineering process is faithfully reproduced with fastidious care and attention to detail. From the woodworking shop to dedicated paint booth, the final assembly and quality control, each manufacturing process is continuously refined to a higher standard.

 

In meeting the extreme criteria, Focus Audio’s objective is to create a loudspeaker at high-end quality that will match, or even surpass, the competition. Our designs start with an intended space in the listener's home.  For smaller spaces, the Models FS6 and FS7 can tantalize even the most demanding and critical of listeners with stunning transparency, neutrality, musicality and lightning speed.  In a more spacious listening environment, the Model FS8 has the uncanny ability, on well-made recordings, to recreate the life and scale of the original musical performance. This unique level of performance and design perfection is available all throughout the Signature Series. For those who immensely enjoying high definition home theater reproduction, the FSC1 center is a perfect match to the above speaker models.

Cabinets

Focus Audio cabinets are sculptured specifically to enhance imaging and are constructed with both premium grade 1” MDF and on the FS7 and FS8 models up to 2” thick MDF for the front baffles. The combination of varying thicknesses provides excellent acoustical properties.

 

Finely handcrafted cabinets are finished with premium grade real wood veneer covering with multi- coated high gloss piano lacquer providing the elegance of fine furniture.

 

Floor-standing models are supplied with hardened steel spikes for proper mechanical grounding.

 

Drivers

Drivers are custom made by renowned Danish driver manufacturer to Focus Audio’s exacting specifications for the coming era of non compressed high definition audio reproduction thanks to the newly introduction of Blue ray and HD DVD formats.

 

Innovative ring tweeters are air cooled with a non-resonant chamber-damping that provides a smooth and detailed response beyond 25 kHz, enabling low distortion even under high-powered operation.

 

Long throw type woofers with Nomex material driver cones are chosen for their excellent reproduction of naturally rich, dynamic and musical sounding characteristics. The newly introduced phase plug at the magnet pole piece enables music reproduction without any compression and widens the acoustic dispersion at higher frequency.

 

Crossovers

Focus Audio designed crossovers are optimized using the most advanced computer-aided programs and are then fine-tuned through painstaking auditioning. The end result is a smooth transition between drivers, wide and uniform dispersion of the sound and excellent power handling. 

 

Each crossover is made of the highest quality components; non inductive wire wound precision resistors, ultra fast Polypropylene capacitors, air core induction coils and ultra pure copper internal wiring, hand assembled circuitry with silver solder and terminated with heavy gauge, gold plated bi-wire binding posts.

 

Quality control

Drivers and crossover components are computer tested and matched to ensure that they meet Focus Audio's stringent requirements.
